Associated British Ports is the biggest port operator in the UK, with 21 sites across the UK including four in the Humber – Hull, Immingham, Grimsby and Goole. We have launched a recruitment drive to identify candidates to come and join the team and play a key role in shaping our Humber port operation.
The Humber continues to be the UK’s busiest estuary handling 33,000 shipping movements of over 65 million tonnes of cargo. This makes us the largest port cluster in the UK and a key driver of the Northern Powerhouse. Regionally, we support 23,000 jobs and inject £1.5 billion into the local economy.
We are looking for people locally who have a passion for the work we do, who can help support our growth ambitions and work to build a career in our industry. We are investing heavily in our transformation - with new state of the art machinery and equipment and better business processes that will help us to become a great place to work.
We are recruiting across a number of specialisms which will include, but are not limited to: Port Operatives, Operations Supervisors, Electrical Technicians, Engineers, Weighbridge Operators and Crane Operators.
To enable our recruitment drive and to offer candidates an opportunity to see our operations, our teams will be on hand at our Recruitment Open Day on Wednesday 19th October. The day will include a port tour and presentation, an on the spot interview, plus a chance to talk to the team to learn more about a career with ABP.
