Hull University
The University of Hull is working closely with Green Port Hull and partners across the public and private sectors to ensure that we rise to meet the challenges and opportunities for the Humber region presented by the major offshore wind developments.
With well-established expertise across the renewables agenda, the University is ensuring that its innovative and internationally renowned R&D and training programmes are fully geared-up to meet the needs of the broad spectrum of businesses that will form the region’s offshore wind supply chain.

In the build up to the launch of Green Port Hull, the University has been closely involved with undertaking work needed to help secure offshore wind investment in the Humber region. Through departments such as the Institute for Estuarine and Coastal Studies, the Logistics Institute, the Business School and the Departments of Geography and Engineering, and coordinated through the Centre for Adaptive Science and Sustainability, the University has contributed to the provision of the expert knowledge-base that the offshore wind industry needs.

The University of Hull is continuing its efforts within Green Port Hull to fully realise the enormous potential that offshore wind has for our region.
